I'm a writer, writing mainly for children. I've won awards, honest! I've also been shortlisted for numerous awards, such as the inaugural LOLLIES in 2016, the Times / Chicken House Prize, and the Greenhouse Funny Prize. News
January 2025 - Busy year ahead! I have several books out. Aliens Made Me Do It is out in June. Also a brand new series called Power Up, which starts in September. There are educational books too. I'm now working on new titles for 2026, including.... a new Velda adventure.
November 2023 - Been a busy old year. My newest book is An Amazing History Atlas of Scotland. I've also written a new Fiction Express title, Underworld, and I've been working on many other projects which will be out in 2024, including a new Velda adventure!
September 2022 - Lovely news! Velda's latest adventure has been short-listed for the Teach Primary awards.
April 2022 - A brand new Velda adventure is on the shelves this month, Velda the Awesomest Viking and the Ginormous Frost-Giants.
